1697 “Molitor” Stradivarius

  • $5,200.00

This beautiful instrument is a copy of the 1697 “Molitor” Stradivarius. The Molitor was also called Napolean’s violin and was believed to have been owned him at one point of history. The Molitor has a provenance that was from the Golden period of Antonio Stradivarius life and has produced exceptional music over its almost 350 year history.
This fine example by Belcanto Violins Supremo series is handmade from aged maple, it features a one piece back with beautiful details on its ribs neck and scroll with bringing out the wood’s natural fine medium grain. It has a light varnish which highlights the accents on the wood and would be ideal for a soloist who seeks to capture the attention but to never overwhelm a stage.

This Violin is made by a master maker of over 30 years of experience in Violin Making.
