1730 Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri 'del Gesù' 'David, Payne'
This is a copy of the1730 Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri 'del Gesù' 'David, Payne'. Made with a two piece back with descending maple grains. The maker who made this from our workshop has had 25 years of violin making. The sound is very open and resonant and dominant strings are just fine with the instrument. A very glorious tone quality - it's versatile voice gives the player many choices with strings and also a variety of uses with it. It is good as a solo instrument, chamber instrument or even an orchestra instrument. The original violin is named after the great violinist Ferdinand David and in 1894, Albert Payne, and almost lost once on the train by Gidon Kremer, inspired an intreresting art work for our workshop to emmulate. We hope this goes to a new owner who will be enriched with many new and exciting adventures with this instrument.
