Mele, 10Plays a BV5 Special Edition 3/4 Size Violin Total Duration of Learning: 3+ Years Started at BVMS Since: December 2021 Mele has been learning the violin from Vivienne and has been refining some violin technique at a more intermediate level. Since joining our studio, she has achieved a Silver Award at the recent 5th Le Petit Performers’ Festival and also a merit for her Grade 4 ABRSM Examinations. In this concert, she is performing the piece "La Cinquantaine" (French "the fiftieth anniversary") is a piece of music which was composed by Jean Gabriel-Marie in 1887. She will be embarking on prepareing for her Grade 6 ABRSM Examinations after completing a series of Etudes and Study pieces. We wish her all the best! Nedyn, 3Plays a 1/10 Size BV3 Series Gloss Violin Duration of Learning: Few Months Started at BVMS Since: Beginning of 2022 Nedyn is a spritely 3 year old who appreciates good tunes and is very musical in learning both the piano and violin. With the help and support from her parents, she has moved steadily through much technique needed to conquer the A and E Strings on the violin to learn a fairly good amount of pieces for her very young age. Music Competitions such as the SMTA Le Petit Performer's Festival where she performed with much boldness and confidence. In this performance, she plays more pieces from the Suzuki Violin book. Jovan, 10Plays a 3/4 Size BV 7.3 Violin Total Duration of Learning: 3 Years Started at BVMS Since: December 2021 Jovan joined our studio late last year since them he has a Silver Award at the recent 5th Le Petit Performers’ Festival and also passed his Grade 4 ABRSM Exams with merit. Hayley, 8Plays a 1/2 Size BV7.8 Violin Duration of Learning:3 years Started at BVMS Since: December 2020 Hayley is a new student at our studio, in a short 6 weeks she prepared and completed her ABRSM Grade 3 Violin examination from scratch with a Distinction and later Grade 5 with Distinction in the same year. She has since won numerous International Competitions, Absolute First Prize and First Prizes including performances at Carnegie Hall in New York. In a very short learning span, we record this Concertino by Oskar Rieding. It is a mentally and physically challenging piece. We hope you enjoy her performance. LifeiPlaying on 4/4 Violin Duration of Learning: more than 10 years Started at BVMS Since: February 2021 This is Lifei's third Violin Concert with us and in this performance, she plays a very long piece, a concerto in A minor by Rode. It is definitely still a work in progress, but we have learnt a lot from the piece which is full of technical challenges and virtuosic flair. Richard, 10Plays a Full Size Violin Duration of Learning:4 years Started at BVMS Since: December 2021 Since joining Belcanto Violins and embarking in his journey of learning under Principal Vivienne Eio, Richard has won more than 15 First and Top Prizes across the world in International Music Competitions playing Beriot's Violin Concerto No. 9, and Duo Concertante Op 57 (In our Guest Performance) and now with the challenging Paganini's La Campenella. He has performed this piece in many venues including the Esplanade Recital Studio, The Libary at the Esplanade and in New York, Carnegie Hall. Jacie, 9Plays a 1/2 Size BV3 Series Matte Violin Total Duration of Learning: 4 plus years Started at BVMS Since: September 2019 She has also since participated in the 5th Le Petit Performers’ Festival and World Strings Day. As a Primary school student, she is in the Strings Ensemble CCA of her school where she just also participated as an SYF player.. This performance is also her last lesson with us. Aloise, 6Plays a 1/4 Size BV5 Series Matte Violin Duration of Learning: A Year Started at BVMS Since: April 2021 Aloise is very quick to pick up tunes and also very focused during lessons to get her notes correct and technique understood at her young age. This is her second recorded concert. In a short Span of time in 2022 she took her Grade 3 ABRSM exams and passed with a high merit. Here in this performance, she plays some pieces from her Grade 3 Exams and entire Oskar Rieding Concerto as challenge for her progress to complete and perform a concerto. She has also taken part in Music Competitions such as the SMTA Le Petit Performer's Festival where she obtained a Silver award. | |

Thaddeus, 8Plays a BV5 Series Matte 1/2 Size Violin Total Duration of Learning: 2 years Started at BVMS Since: April 2021 Thaddeus completed Grade 3 since the last recital in 2021 and he has been refining his technique and posture since. Now he is playing repertoire from Grade 5 and in this performance, he has taken on himself the challenge to learn a Fast Paced Vivaldi Piece and a Beloved popular Chinese Melody. He has also taken part in SMTA's Music Performance and obtained a Silver Award for his performance of one of Seitz's Violin Concerto. Chriselle, 7Plays a 1/4 Size BV1 Series Matte Violin with Belcanto Premium Strings Duration of Learning: Few Months Started at BVMS Since: March 2022 Chriselle learnt violin prior to joining our school for a few months online with another studio due to the covid period, when she joined us, we began at Suzuki 1 and she has since completed till this point. In this video, she demonstrates the fundamentals of the Suzuki Method Volume one by playing Bach's Minuets from the Series.

She has also since taken part in the 5th Le Petit Performers’ Festival where she was awarded a Silver Medal and participated in multiple World Strings Day with Global Strings Federation together all other students in our studio. Kellie started the violin and joined us for a year now at Belcanto Violins and is under Associate Teacher Jade, here she showcases the ability to play an entire Violin Concerto of 3 movements despite only a very short duration of learning. We hope to challenge her with more technique and beautiful melodies. She has also participated in multiple World Strings Day Events and more studio concerts to come.

Bojun, 9Plays a 3/4 Size Violin Duration of Learning: Few Months Started at BVMS Since: August 2022 Despite only joining our studio for a few months, Bojun has already taken part in music competitions such as SMTA Le Petit Performer's Festival. In this performance he plays The Boy Paganini and the Flower Jasmine Traditional Chinese Piece. To build his confidence as he has a natural flair of the violin, he has conscientiously delivered on practise goals at each lesson set to him. He is a very good student and we hope to see more of his performances in the future. He has also been chosen as part of his Internation School's main quartet which is a very sought after string position. | |

Ted, 7Plays a 1/4 BV5 Series Special Edition Violin Total Duration of Learning: 3 years Started at BVMS Since: January 2019 Ted started the violin with Vivienne at 40 months old, in our last recital, he managed the whole of Oskar Rieding's Violin Concerto in Bminor. He has since participated in a Music Competition and also a coming live music competition playing one of Dancla's Aires Varies. We are trying more complex pieces and refining our tone and technique at each lesson to reach his full potential. GaiusPlays a 3/4 Size BV1 Series Matte Violin Duration of Learning: Few Months Started at BVMS Since: April 2022 Gaius had started off in another school for several months, but he has learnt from our school since April 2022 under our Associate Teacher Lifei. He has been going steadily through the first volume of the Suzuki Violin Method book to master the various fundamental techniques of playing the violin. This is his first recording concert and we are happy to feature one of his favorite pieces in the book.
